Ubaldo Jimenez Was Tossed Last Night For No Apparent Reason

Last night, Ubaldo was cruising. Had a no hitter going with two outs in the fourth inning. O’s were up 1-0 and a pitch got away from Jimenez, hitting Panda high on his back. Without a warning , Ubaldo got tossed. I’ve never been so confused in my life. Why throw him out? There was no shit talking going on, a hard Panda slide on Jonathan Schoop trying to take out out a double play had happened earlier, but there was no ill will there. Even the Red Sox players, and manager were confused as to why Ubaldo was ejected without warning.

Home plate umpire, Jordan Baker, will not be getting any drinks bought for him next time he’s in Baltimore. Seems like another ump who is trying to show how the game is about him, Jordan Baker is bigger than baseball, and wants everyone to know it. Baker told Buck that he thought the pitch was intentional because of Panda’s hard slide. Makes sense, guess this is Office Space, and Baker bought a jump to conclusions mat.

Not making excuses, but that ejection changed the game and probably the series. Jimenez was mowing down the Sox, and with one bad pitch he was gone. Why would he throw at a batter in a one run game with a no hitter? Did Baker read Jimenez’s mind and know he was throwing at Panda? It’s god damn Ubaldo Jimenez, THE GUY WHO COULDN’T FIND THE STRIKE ZONE FOR THE LAST YEAR. He’s had problems with locating his pitches, is it that hard to believe he got perfect pin point precision overnight?  BTW imagine 5 weeks ago I told you that O’s fans would be pissed Ubaldo got thrown out of a game.

The ejection forced Buck to go to his bullpen three innings before he probably would have. Gausman came in, gave up a hit,and a bomb to some catcher with a mullet. Not sure how Buck didn’t get thrown out, He and Caleb Joseph were both pleading their case, Ubaldo threw his hands up, everyone was confused. You could read Buck’s lips, saying to Baker, “What are you doing?”

I hate this shit when umps or refs try to take over the game. This guy was all over the plate last night before his itchy trigger finger ejected Jimenez, strike zone was all over, just a shitty ump. Now it changed the entire series because the O’s had to burn through their pen last night. Thanks John Baker.

BTW can we really have an umpire in the game who goes around doing shit like this??? Throwing gum on the field?!?! Don’t fix batters stepping out of the box MLB, fix your umpiring situation.
